This week Erik Backman ( born 1998, U14 ) playing on our Rockwood U15 Rep Team spent the week at the TFC Summer Camp at Downsview Park. Kids from U12 to U14 spent 4 days from 9am until 4pm with lots of Drills and Scrimmages.
The kids at the Camp were Evaluated in 36 different areas grouped under: Passing, Shooting, Dribbling/Control, Attacking 1v1, Defending 1v1, Athleticism & Mental Attributes. Scores were from 5 to 10 per area and divided as follows: 5&6 = Needs Improvement, 7 = Average, 8 = Good, 9 = Very Good, 10 = Excellent
Erik had a Great time and Really Enjoyed the Experience. His average score was 9,2 and he made an Impression with the Coaching Staff due to his ability to effectively shoot with both feet so he has now been invited to join the Practice Squad this Winter for the TFC U14 Academy Team in preparation for the February Try Outs.
