The Ontario Soccer Association in conjunction with our local District and RFC are in the process of implementing Long Term Player Development (LTPD). This is a program/plan designed to enhance the soccer experience for all and improve the development and enjoyment of the game of soccer for the players. LTPD is mandatory and includes changes to the way your children will be trained and play. Some changes are small and you may not notice….others are significant. The changes that are implemented this year are:
- soccer below U12 is to be focused on development-there will not be scores kept and tournaments will be replaced by festivals, length of play allowed in a day is less, team sizes are smaller, field and net sizes are smaller.
- U8 and below are encouraged to play without keepers.
